Universal Pictures is an American Film Studio, and is the worlds third oldest major film studio. It is owned by Comcast and is one of Hollywood's 'Big Six' film studios. Universal was founded in 1912 by the german Carl Laemelle, Mark Dintenfass, Charles O. Baumann, Adam Kessel, Pat Powers, William Swanson, David Horsley and Jules Brulatour. Universal Pictures is effective because it is plain and simple but still gives the idea that the movies they produce will go all around the world.

LionsgateLionsgate Entertainment Corporation is a Canadian-American entertainment company. The company was formed in Vancouver in 1997 by Frank Giustra and Avi Federgreen. This is effective because it gives the feeling that using this distribution company will open doors for the movie.

Warner bros. pictures
Warner Bros. is an American producer of film, television and music entertainment. It was founded on April 4th 1923 but Sam Warner, Albert Warner, Harry Warner and Jack Warner, hence the name 'Warner Brothers'. The Warner Bros. have distributed films including, The Shining (1980), Gremlins (1984) and I Am Legend (2007). This is effective because the logo is in the sky saying that any movie they make will reach to the top.

Paramount
|
Paramount was founded by Adolph Zukor in 1912. It has created Titanic (1997), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), which have all surpassed the $1 billion mark in worldwide box office sales. Paramount is also responsible for many horror films, including Psycho (1960), Cloverfeild (2008) and The Devil Inside (2012). It is also one of the longest running film distributors in Hollywood. This logo is effective because they use the top peak of the mountain suggesting that the movies they make will reach to the top. They also used stars and at the start they are shooting stars meaning that any movie they make will be a wish come true.

Out of all of these distribution companies, I would choose to use Warner Bros. pictures because they have produced very well-known, professional horror movies. For example, 'The Shining' (1980), 'Friday the 13th' (2009) and 'The Exorcist' (1973). The screenshot below shows that 'The Exorcist' was very successfully distributed. This is obvious because of the amount of money that they made, a huge, $193,000,000. This makes Warner Bros. a desirable distribution company because it is unlikely that they will fail at distributing it.
