the top rated horrors
IMDb was the website we used to research the top rated horrors as it is a reliable website and regularly used.
The top rated horror is Psycho from 1960 with an 8.6 rating out of 10. This shows just how amazing this film is as it's number 1 and has been out for over 50 years. Closely behind is The Blue Elephant from 2014 with an 8.5 rating out of 10. This shows that it is high rated and has extremely quickly gone to second which is a shock as its such a recent film compared to the others around it. Third is Alien from 1979, and fourth is The Shining from 1980. This indicates that some of the old films are still watched and rated highly as well as the up coming movies. |
IMDb, The Internet Movie Database. This is a online database of information for related films, TV programs and also video games, this website included cats, production, fictional, biographies, plots, trivia and reviews.
Launched in 1990 by Col Needman, the company was made in the UK as IMDb and finally published in 1996. In January 2015 IMDb had 3,156,631 titles and 6,329,543 personalities in its data base as well as its 58 million registered users..The site enables registered users to submit new material and request edits to existing entries. The database had been expanded to include additional categories of filmmakers and other demographic material, as well as trivia, biographies, and plot summaries. The movie ratings had been properly integrated with the list data and a centralised email interface for querying the database had been created by Alan Jay. By late 1990, the lists included almost 10,000 movies and television series correlated with actors and actresses appearing therein. On October 17, 1990, Needham developed and posted a collection of 'Unix shell script' which could be used to search the four lists, and thus the database that would become the IMDb was born.

The Saw films have given us inspiration for our Horror teaser trailer . It is popular because it contains a lot of gore and they have made about 6 different movies of Saw. Unlike many horrors, Saw focuses on making to film have as much gore in it as possible which captures the audience. Because of this, we think it we be a good idea to focus more on blood and gore when we make our teaser trailer, and make it totally different to other teaser trailers.
