The top rented horrors
Rotten Tomatoes was a website we used to see the latest horrors that are rented. We used this as it's a high rated website and very trustworthy. Patrick Evil Awakens was the highest rented film with 83% but only had a score of 36% by the audience.
Also on rottentomatoes.com you can read a variety of critic reviews to see whether you want to rent and watch that particular movie. |
Netflix was another website we used to see the highest rented horrors. We used this as a vast majority of people have an account meaning that there is more people watching the movies who will rate it so others can see the best rating. Tucker and Dale VS evil was the highest rented with 5 stars. Then not far behind is Zombieland and Odd Thomas with 4 and 1/2 star rating.

When planning which sub-genre of horror we want to create, we think it would be a good idea to look at what is currently popular.
Renting DVDs has recently become more favoured than buying, as it is often cheaper and you can watch more movies for your money. We decided it is logical to also look at which DVDs are being rented as well as horror movies which are being bought. On of the leading DVD renting sites is LoveFilm, so we decided to check out which horror movies are being rented out, but more importantly, what sub-genre they fit into. |
